Candace, an Etsy shop owner at KirkmanKoils has pointed us to a few of her natural hair care products that are coconut-free. I haven't personally tried them because many of them contain mango, which I happen to be sensitive to. But, she could also make custom products.
Her son has severe eczema, asthma, nut/tree nut and fish
allergies. Her daughters are sensitive to coconut; their hair hates it and any
trace of it. She found herself trying to find products to
accommodate their needs while trying to be budget conscious. So she started making basic things like hair
and body butter and eventually moved on to more extensive items like hair
cleanser, conditioner, cream and gels.
It looks like this could be a great place to go for coconut free products, especially if you have super thick, curly hair!
Her shop can be found on Etsy at https://www.etsy.com/shop/KirkmansKoils.
The shea/nut free section can be found here https://www.etsy.com/listing/243021733/kirkmanskoils-nut-free-products-coconut.
Let me know if you try any! There are a lot of creative hair product ideas here for sure.

Custom Coconut Free Soap on Etsy
Our reader, Victoria, has had good luck getting custom soap on Etsy!
Here is what she wrote me:
Here is what she wrote me:
This soap is the best EVER!! I got this lady to custom
make it with the Babassu Oil and it has been great. No reaction at all
and have been using it now for 3 months. Wanted to give it a little while
before I recommended it.
The Katie Wellness group recommended Melissa, owner of the
Elegant Rose Boutique on Etsy to custom make my soap. The Katie Wellness
group is very aware of people with coconut allergies. I gave Melissa the
idea to use the Himalayan Salt and she put her ideas to work and made this one
of a kind spectacular soap and it smells good too. I love that! It
has been so long since I have been able to use a soap that has a beautiful
scent.
It is a huge bar of soap for only $10.00! I'm in
Heaven!

Great news! Our reader, Kim, found

Here is what she says:
Clean Kids Naturally Shampoo!
Here is what she says:
I have been using these products for my kids
and love the conditioner for myself. They are actually advertised as coconut
free. Yeah! http://gabrielcosmeticsinc.com/shop/clean-kids-naturally-detangler/
I hope this helps. I buy it at our Natural
Grocers store. It's cheaper, but they don't offer the larger sizes.
Kim
Thanks, Kim!!
